how do I get edible pearls to change color with the luster dust. I tried turning one gold and nothing happened. Do I need to add vodka (extract) to the dust before I roll the pearls in it? I have a bride that wants black and gold pearls, but am a little dumb founded right now. Thanks for ANY help....

I personally have not done this, but some say that they put the pearls in a plastic baggies(like zip-loc) and shake em to get the color on. I do use luster dust and vodka to "paint" the luster dusts, but I am not sure on how that would work with pearls being they would have to dry and would be sitting on something. Maybe someone here has tried painting them=) Sorry not much more help then this...OH....it is not a dumb question hun! Jen

I also haven't done this personally but read somewhere you can get a little atomiser (like for perfume), fill it with vodka, spray the pearls, then roll the pearls around with dust.
