At our Bulk Barns I have seen tubs of Liberty Virgin Ice Fondant. Has anyone heard anything about this or used it? I am a convert now to MMF, but just wondering.

I use it all the time and I love it! I buy it by the bucket though for about $37 CAD, much better than the $15 CAD for 4lbs at the Bulk Barn. Like any fondnat you need to knead it first to smooth it out but it;s very forgiving and tastes pretty good. To be honest I don't find that bit a difference in the taste from MMF, just a better texture. The cake shop I work at as well uses this fondant on all of their cakes.

Buy a tub and give it a shot. Although I do like MMF I still prefer 'real' fondant, just a personal preference.

I use that one too. I prefer it to Wilton's stuff and the price is pretty darn good too.

I have started using it too. I must admit for making decorations like roses etc, I do prefer Wilton's because it tends to set up better but the Virgin Ice tastes better.

Suela, since you are in Kanata, have you tried Artistic's own fondant, it runs about $6 a pound - don't remember the price for bulk though and tastes really good but I don't like it for making decorations, it works pretty good for covering cakes though.

I use the Virgin Ice too, and I like it very much.
Tripletmom, where do you find it by the bucket?
