Hey thanks so much for the tutorial and tips! I made a spiderman cake for a 5 year old birthday and didn't have much time! It turned out perfectly! FYI I didn't have the 90 minutes recommended to freeze it, put it in the freezer for about 35 and it was just fine! Thanks again! Very user friendly!

I'm going to put the transfer onto an ice cream cake. Wondering how far in advance I can do this? I read on another site the colors will run if its in the freezer for longer than an 1 hr but some of the posts here say it could be left for weeks. Does it change anything if its on the cake itself? It would only be about 24 hrs before serving.

I recently tried this technique for the first time, and was disappointed because the image wouldn't turn loose of the wax paper. Did I just not let it stay in the freezer long enough? I left it there for a couple of hours until it felt solid.

Would it help to spray the wax paper with a light film of non-stick spray?
