heh... it's a difference between how I use it as to what I call it. Frosting goes on the cake. Icing is the decorations.

It sounds better to my ears if I say "the cake is frosted..." and "icing roses..." rather than the other way around.

Wish I could have voted for both at the same time. icon_smile.gif

I used to call it frosting. That was before I started the wilton classes. They called it icing so I started calling it icing too. Now when I get lazy & don't want to make icing... I get me a can of Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker frosting from the pantry!! LOL!!
