i am making the 3-d bear for a babyshower i have been thinking about the best way to present it....i have bake a 1/2 sheet cake that i was planning to put it on. i was thinking about putting dowels setting straight on the cake and then putting one big dowel thru the bear. but my dilema is the baby shower is not until tomorrow (sat) will the bear sink in???? does anybody have any other suggestions? this is my first time making this bear.

I did the bear pan and made a little girl sitting on top of a sheet cake for my daughters 1st birthday. I put her ontop of a cardboard base that sat on four dowels that supported it. (I cut the dowels the same heighth as the sheet cake and placed them as a square under the cardboard circle). Worked out fine, and she didn't sink at all! Good luck, I can't wait to see a picture.
