I am in the process of making a baby dedication cake and just used my new magic line 10X15 pan. It came out beautiful. Very full and perfectly square corners!
I was originally planning to bake two tort both filling with strawberry filling but that is going to make one tall cake.

Just wondering what most of you do, 2" layered or 4" layered.

Thanks for your input.

I usually end up with a 4" layered cake. It depends on the look im going for though. But I have found that ppl are more impressed with a taller cake. I also get more positive feedback about the taste if the cake is torted with lots of layers of frosting and filling.

4 inch definitely! i think it really enhances the cake eating experience to have a nice tall slice on you cake, with a lot of filling! 2 inch cakes i think often end up looking flat and ordinary. maybe thats just cause the only kind of cake my mom ever made was a 2 inch tall 9x13 with no fill. lol.
