I baked a cake from a recipe I had found here on this site somewhere. Now I can't seem to find it. It was a white wedding cake and it used white cake mix and sour cream. Does anyone know where that recipe is?
Thanks
Scrappy

I think it is in the cake mix section, but not under
white cake...I think it is Durable Cake for wedding or 3d cake....

Those were close but not the one I made. It had cake mix and sour cream but it also had extra flour and sugar. It did use egg whites but I don't think it used pudding.

Not that one either. I can't believe I had this printed and made the cake and now I can't find it anywhere. icon_sad.gif It is so delicious. Everyone at the reception raved about how moist and good it was. I know I printed it right here on this site somewhere.

How about this one?

And just for future reference.
If you find the recipe you were looking for you can save it to your CakeCentral Recipe box by clicking "Add To Recipe Box"

Then whenever you log back into the site, there it is!

Did the recipe you found on this site say egg whites, or did that come from the cake mix? The recipe for Duarble Cake for 3D and Wedding Cakes is really a good recipe.. I add pudding to all my mixes anyway. I gives your cake a good crumb and makes it easier to decorate, but still very moist.

I don't know of any other recipes like that, I went thru all of the ones I have printed off...I have made the cake I mentioned though and it is very good. You could make it and leave out the pudding if you wanted to. It won't compromise the recipe.
I have done the extender with and without pudding and there is really not a big difference. Hope this helps.

I think the recipe you are talking about is WASC which is white almond sour cream cake. It uses a white cake mix, almond flavoring, egg whites, sour cream, flour & oil. If you want the recipe, send me a PM and I'll send it to you.

2 boxes white cake mix
2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt

8 egg whites
2 2/3 cup water
4 tbs vegetable oil
2 cups (16 oz carton) sour cream
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp almond extract

Mix all dry ingredients by hand. Add the rest of the ingredients and beat on low speed for 2 minutes. Bake at 325.
