I am doing a wedding cake and the bride wants black swirls on it. Is there anyway to keep the black frosting from staining people's teach and lips? The groom does not want chocolate on it. Any suggestions?

Hi

I have a trick that I now use, I use chocolate fudge icing. You can use the betty crocker or you can buy chocolate fudge at a lot of cake suppliers. It is really dard and looks black. The best part is that is doesn't bleed and it tastes really good. I have done many cakes this way and the brides are always very happy with it.

Hope this helps

The only way I would know to do this is to start w/ chocolate frosting and add black coloring to it. That cuts the yucky taste AND colored mouth problem. Now if you could change the grooms mind...

Can you use black piping gel?
Not sure but it might color easier than frosting or you could just buy a tube!
