Can a doll (Elsa/Frozen) cake be made without a doll mold?  The things is I dont need it to be a very big cake either.  Was doing for approx 6" cake size as I wanted to add it on top of an 8" round cake.  The doll is approx 12" tall...any way I can use my silicone giant cupcake mold since the top of the cupcake does come small near the dolls waist?

Sure, that would work.  Any stacked layers would work as well.  All you need to do is trim off A LITTLE BIT AT A TIME to get the shape you want.

I put the "little bit" in caps because it is waaaaay easier to trim a little less than to add back once you've whacked off a hunk.

Thanks ended up using a glass bowl and adding an 8" and 2 6" cakes to get the right height.
