OMG, this fabulous looking cake is...sooo disappointing
it is beautiful -- is that a chocolate swirl or toffee/caramel? love the marbling -- but i guess it would take a zillion michelin starred chef to blow a cheesecake -- c'mon, gordon, it hardly gets any easier -- but you know what -- i tried to get the recipe and it said the license on it expired or something and it was no longer available -- maybe it wasn't the licensing that got it pulled hahahaha
ANo, it's still there, just checked. On Facebook"The weekend magazine". Anyway, don't want to post the recipe here, not sure if that's allowed...? It's sooo pretty, that's why I made it. Okay, have to admit mine was a bit messy since my young one (official "nobody", but I have a suspicion
AAnd don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan of his shows! F***Ing h#ll, Gordon, get your cheese cakes in gear, LOL!
If this is the recipe, it makes a standard simple cheesecake. It relies on the chocolate to give it depth. A friend of mine made it for her husband's birthday. Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake
Afacebook.com/pages/The-Weekend-Magazine/203374193033007 This is the link. No, it's not the same, the one I found has creme fraich and double cream...
Thanks for the link! It's an interesting no-bake recipe. But doesn't look that appealing - I can see why you stated it lacked flavor.
AHey mini, glad you found it, my phone is driving me mad! The internet is so slow... Anyway, well, it looked appealing to me. I make so many cakes and this looks like homemade fun. Kids were watching and "helping" and I love trying new things. The double cream put me off quite a bit to be honest. But since I normally bake my cheesecakes, why not giving this a chance? I think I was just shocked. Don't know what I expected...no flavors OBVIOUSLY! See recipe... Now I'm wondering if this isn't actually Gordon Ramsay's recipe as your link has different ingredients?!

That's what my swirl looks like, although I just make a bit of chocolate ganache and swirl it into the cheesecake, for a super chocolate zing. Happy Birthday to the gentleman.
There is little comparison between Cooking & Baking. You bakers are specialists in your own right.
