I have loved this community since I found it in 2007, I even give it credit on my website.
After many years of trying to find a path that would let me meet my legal requirements in a city that no longer has residential kitchens, I have done it ;)
Here's how:
1. Rent a commercial kitchen I share with church.
2. Get caterer's license & other various food permits & business insurance
3. Work butt off!!!
4. Got business license, Tax ID # & bank account :D
If it sounds a little out of order its because it wasn't easy. Rejection, tears, fights, and even being scammed which currently has me in court (standing up for myself) has helped me to grow as a person & a woman. I'm so proud and I feel I have so much more to accomplish!
Don't believe them when they say you can't do it! I still have a ways to go with my pricing and ways to go before I am actually profitable but I'm at the start making enough to pay my rent, Insurance & materials/supplies. And my new website will be up next week :) I'm so excited to get started!!!
Thank you all! Even those who told me earlier this year I may not be strong enough to deal with bad customers :P ...Now I'm off to fill n frost a Plants vs Zombies cake for tomorrow ;)
