Painting Fondant With Luster Dust: When Is The Best Time?

Hey everyone,
I really appreciate the threads on painting fondant with luster dust and this site has been really helpful so far, but I can't seem to find an answer to this question.
When using luster dust to paint fondant do you paint the fondant as soon as you roll it out and shape it or do you need to wait until it's dry?
I would really appreciate any help with this! Thanks again!
I would do it once the fondant has had a chance to dry a little - it makes sure that the brush glides over the fondant without it sticking also when I have used it I have always dry dusted it and it picks up finger prints really easily and they are really clear finger prints. I am not sure whether it will be different if you are painting it on though.
