hullo again! :-D  So im making a semi truck for my fiancé, Ive gotten everything figured out except for one thing, what cake pans to use. I got lookin at my cake pans and don't have anything long enough for the "body" of the truck. Heres the question, can I use cookie sheets for making the longer truck pieces or no I got to go buy an actual sheet cake pan? Thank you! :-)

If the cookie pans are the thicker heavy duty aluminum sheet pans (I guess like a jelly roll pan), you can use those.

 

That's how I bake all my sheet cakes. I don't use the 2" deep pans - I like how they bake faster and more evenly, plus I don't have to torte them! I just stack and trim the edges all at once.
