AI am making a princess cake (or rather, wanting to) for my sisters birthday. I have the perfect 2 qt glass bowl that I am wanting to use. However, it states "convection oven safe" but I do not have a convection oven. Has anyone used anchor hocking in a regular oven before? I've read that it's similar to Pyrex which is able to be used in any type of oven. I really don't want to make the dish explode yet I don't want to purchase another dish if not needed. I intend on lowering the temp to probably 300 but I'm just worried about my oven not being convection and wondering if it will make all the difference. Thanks a lot!

There are no problems using your Anchor Hocking dish. The label states "convection oven safe" only because some people are not familiar with convection baking. Good luck with your cake!
