For those of you who use straws as supports in cakes, do you use the bubble/tea straws that are approximately 1/4 of an inch or the boba straws that are half an inch? Thank you for your feedback!

i use from the skinniest to those 3/4 inch plastic tubes -- the skinny ones i will sometimes slide the bamboo skewers into for extra strength if necessary -- and if i need some serious oomph i go to the hardware store and get them to cut 1 inch dowel for me -- they just stand by themselves on the table -- you could stand on them
