Wilton Decorator's Choice Cake Mix
Baking By customcakesbysa Updated 29 Aug 2014 , 1:24pm by 13bellscakes
I just saw a post about these on FB. Here's the link to the site: http://www.duncanhines.com/products/cakes/wilton-decorators-choice-yellow-cake-mix-by-duncan-hines/ Has anyone tried them? They claim the crumb is firmer & stands up better to decorating, no crumb coat needed (which I would do anyway), & that they rise more evenly for a flatter top. Any experience with these yet?

I've seen the product launch spiel on Facebook..my concern is what the heck is in that cake mix to not need a crumb coat, and be perfectly flat etc..doubt I will try it based on that, and the fact that home made is so much nicer.

just noticed that the box of cake mix pictured states it is 18 ounces. Most cake mixes now are only approx 15 ounces. Will this reflect a higher price for the Wilton Decorator's Choice endorsement, or is this a typo on the picture? Any details?
