I have a potential client that wants me to make cupcakes with glow in the dark fondant. Does anyone know where I can buy this type of fondant. The client said that she researched it and knows that's it's available. I have researched it as well and it seems like it's homemade with tonic water and quinine. Tonic water is available to me but not the quinine. I needed some for mu daughter a few years back for a Science experiment, that' show I know.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Tonic water contains a small amount of quinine, it might be enough to have the desired effect.

There are neon colors, meaning very bright. There's no ready made glow in the dark fondant.

I've seen the tonic water thing before on TV and if I remember correctly, it didn't to over too well. I think you need A LOT of it to get the desired effect and it's impossible to cover fondant with enough to make it happen. That's just what I remember though, you may be able to find a unique way to pull it off.

can you ask your client where they found it available?

for clarity ... we mean "glow under a black light" ... not really "glow in the dark", right?

Thank you everyone for your replies. Yes, I meant glow in the dark under a black light. I also asked the customer. No answer back from her yet.

The effect will be very minimal and the taste may be off...........
