Christmas Disaster Cake.

Christmas Disaster Cake. on Cake Central

This is my first attempt to cover a cake with MMF. My 2 yaer old poked her fingers in it, my R.I. wouldn't thicken for anything. My decorations came out too thick. Trillium cake with a buttercream coat and covered with MMF. I put clear gold on the sad little ribbon and deco just to keep from tossing it out the window.

I see nothing wrong with this cake. Yu did a good job. Remember, we are the only ones who know about the flaws most of the time.

I don't think the ribbon is sad at all, I think it looks very pretty. And I like the red writing, too. It is far from a disaster cake, you are being just too hard on yourself. We are always our own worst critics. Hold your head up high, girl!

Sorry you had such a difficult time, but really it doesn't look all that bad! Very nice MMF decorations. The gold luster dust gives them just the right touch of sparkle! Nice handwriting, too. BTW, I've heard and I believe, book cakes are a bit on the difficult side. Give yourself a little time (if you haven't already), and practice when able.
