You have to make sure your bottom tier is stuck down well to anchor. I used royal icing and letit dry well. then I just used stacked construction with dowels in each layer and one through the whole cake and just was super careful when I moved it. Feel free to use the idea it's a lot of fun.
This may be a silly question but do you do something to cover the underside of the cake board since people can see under the edges of the larger cakes?

no I didn't it's just a white board and it blends in
