maddiseeyore, the tower tops were created with the molds from the Wilton castle kit that we covered in fondant/gumpaste. For the large tower, we formed a cone out of cardstock and covered it with fondant/gumpaste until it was dry. My husband made a mold out of sheet metal that we used for both the windows and shutters. Thank you for the kind words. Your cakes and cookies are amazing!!!

laboti, the two main levels are cake. The 4 smaller towers are made using paper towel tubes and the big tower is a plastic spaghetti holder. All decorations were made with MFF mixed with gumpaste. To make the brick work, my husband made a cutter out of sheet metal. The water is gel paste spread over blue fondant. The border on the top floor was created using a basketweave cutter. THANK YOU all for the thoughtful comments and support!! This was my 5th cake.

I can't get over this cake! How did you make the tops of the towers? and did you cut the windows and shutters freehand? any directions you could share would be great!
