Thank you all for your lovely comments this is my first wedding cake. The butterflies are made from petal paste and cut out with a patchwork cutter then dried over the edge of a box to get the correct shape. The boarder is strung pearls attached with royal icing. And the bottom tier is iced over and continues over the board.

So beautiful. My daughter loves butterflies and it would have been a great cake for her quinceanera, maybe for her wedding...Thanks for sharing
