WOW :o I thought the whole cake was in fondant until I read your comments. How did you do the bottom tier in BC. I've tried it several times but my icing looks awful. The line aren't smooth like yours.

Thanks for checking out the cake and writing such lovely comments!!! Rachpizano, I just have a little diamond pattern press that I gently push in to the bc and I just match up the points and press again, I never put the press back over any part of the diamonds I have done, b/c I get double lines. Feverfixer, that is so nice to hear, thanks. Sherry_lyn, thanks for letting me know who the designer was, I was just given a pic by the bride to duplicate, so I need to send a shout out to Bake Me a Cake :)

This is just wonderful! One of THE most beautiful cakes I've ever seen. So beautiful yet so clean and simple in design. It's a wow for me and a definitely save. So do you find the diamond press easier than the diamond mat? Or have you used the mat? I have it but haven't used it yet, but wonder about the press.

Very nice job!! Is this one of the Kathy Scott presses that you used to do the diamond design or if not, what type is it?

thanks so much:) Carolann the mat might be a bit easier to use, but I like the press better b/c it puts a deeper impression in it.: sudie1, I don't think it is a Kathy Scott press, just a black diamond press I got from www.Beryl's.com.

hermi, I just use the wilton recipe and then I add about three tbsp. of lt. corn syrup to it. I 6 times my batch and usually put less than the required amount of pow. sug. My batch requires 24 cups of pow. sug. and I put 21 or 22 cups.

Thanks deedee44, for all of the calla lillys I rolled sausage lengths of lt. yellow gumpaste and put a wire through them and let them dry overnight(stuck them into styrofoam to dry) for the flower, I just used a cutter that comes in a set of 3 from www.beryl's.com. For the really big ones, I traced about an inch around my largest cutter. To let them dry I put them in those different sizes of styrofoam flower formers, can't remem. the exact name.

Words fail me. This is perfection - should be on a magazine or book cover. You should be very proud of your work :) :)
