Can't always say this, but I was pretty pleased with how this one came out. The piping loosely replicated the pattern of the lace in the bride's dress. 16", 12", 9", and 6". Piping done with tip #5, kind of big but I liked the pronouncement of it.
Did this for an 8 year old that likes to go tubing on the lake. Mother mentioned there are alligators on the lake they like to go to...hope I didn't traumatize the little girl.
This is my first fondant-covered tiered cake. Would like to do more! 9" and 6". Found the teardrop silver dragees on amazon.
This is a 12 x 18 double layer cake. I made the magnolia using Minette Rushing's youtube instructions. (Although I had to cut my petals with exacto knife since I have no cutters.) The sugar jewelry was made in Swank Cake's cake class with molds they supplied. Thanks for looking.
Playing with candy clay. Surprisingly found that candy clay roses are easier to make than gumpaste. Much faster than gumpaste!
I posted the bunny earlier. Here is the finished cake. Fun one.
Inspired by Anicaro's sweet rabbit. Made the body and head out of rice crispy treats. Covered in modeling chocolate. Have yet to do the cake.
I saw this side technique here (?) and wanted to try it. I'm so sorry I do not know who showed this so I can give her credit. Fun to do.
Well, I *tried* doing a peacock cake using somewhat loosely the decorate the cake blogspot tutorial. I loved that cake. Just wasn't quite pleased with how the peacock turned out but it could have been worse. haha
Groom's Cake. Couldn't have done this without all the info found here and on youtube so thanks! The barrel slats were made of a combo of modeling chocolate and fondant.
Been seeing these a lot and got a request to do one. Fun and easy.
