Hi! I have seen Pastry Pride at a cake decorating store, is Rich's Bettercreme a similar product? Does anyone know of any particular/convenient retailers where I can buy these products? The nearest store that I know of where I can buy Pastry Pride is nearly two hours away! Thanks!

I've never used Pastry Pride, but I think it is similar to Rich's Bettercreme. Do you have a Gordon Food Service near you? Ours carries the Rich's. Good luck!

Rich's Bettercreme is also a non-dairy whipped frosting. It comes prewhipped or unwhipped. I use it in the bakery I work in. It has a nice light taste. I don't know of any retailers who sell it to the public.

Yes Pastry Pride and Rich's are very similar. I don't know where you're located, but I get both at Smart & Final.

See, that's three of us in California who find it at Smart & Final, I also get it at Cash and Carry. What I don't understand is that it is disributed by a company in Illinoiis and yet people on the eastcoast aren't able to buy it there. Maybe if you guys all bombarde the company with requests for it they will find a supplier for you, here is the address on the container
Cremes Unlimited Inc.
Matteson, Illinois 60443

Can anyone tell me the price of the whipped topping (is that pastry pride) at Smart & Final? What is the volume of the container? How much frosting does it yield?

I just broke down and drove out to Smart & Final. You are right, it was on sale, so that was a bonus. I really liked frosting with it and it tasted good! I am definately adding that to my list of items!

THANK YOU!

is the pastry pride the same consistency as buttercreme? does it hold well when you make roses or flowers with it, the same as if you made it with buttercreme?

pastry pride is more like whipped cream. i find that it is too soft for roses and not stable enough and too heavy for basketweave, but borders and the simple 5 petal flowers are fine.
