I got mine from the kitchen aid outlet. Its refurbished, and only has a 6 month warranty, but it was a lot cheaper and more powerful icon_smile.gif

Thank you for the info. I actually went shopping for one today and came home empty handed. I am going to QVC.com right now icon_wink.gif .

I bought an KA Artisan 500 yesterday on J C P.com. It was on sale for $299 ($100 off) and I found an online coupon for an additional 20% off!

Good going, enjoy. We REALLY lucked out with ours. We had been looking for ages for a good price, online, ebay, stores, everywhere. One of the first cakes we ever did was a Halloween wedding cake for friends of ours. We gave it to them as a gift. We wanted the practice, we loved them as our friends, and the idea of a Halloween wedding was just too much fun. So that was our gift to them. A year later we went over to visit and they had a present for us. Yup, you guessed it, a brand new KA. I tried to refuse it because it was just too extravagant a gift to accept. But they insisted and hubby wanted it soooo badly... lol So we have a beautiful KA which we still look longingly at.

I got mine from Amazon too. Free shipping and 203.00 for Artisan...woohoo..You could only get the white one for that price but my kitchen isn't a show piece so it didn't make me any difference!

My KA arrived on yesterday. I am so excited. I wiped her down really good. I washed the attachements as well. I will be using her on beginning Thursday. I have 4 dozen cupcakes to make, 1 11x15 sheet cake, and 2 other miscellaneous cakes. Can't wait to crank her up.
