Just wondering what people usually charge. These are going to be decorated a little bit and then some of them will be tuxedo strawberries.

Thanks!

Danielle

When I was selling items, the price of my strawberries would be a little higher since they don't hold for long and spoilage happens so quickly. Even though it's waste, that's still money that I paid so I rolled everything into costs. I only did them seasonal also for that reason.
I got to the point where I would have to price accordingly for these. In other words, I didn't have a set price but it would fluxuate.
When in season they are much easier to handle and make a decent profit off of.
There is a Godiva store in the mall that sells a simple plain chocolate dipped strawberry for $3.50 - $5.50 a piece. However, they also have massive overhead due to being in the mall.

Our prices are $2.50 each for dipped and $3 each for decorated as in bride and grooms. Also if you've ordered more than 25 you'd get a discount off each strawberry. As stated above it all depends on if you can even find them in the store so we tell people this when they order, If not found locally no strawberries or an increased price due to order and shipping. You need to consider that if they order 10 strawberries you still have to buy the whole pkg which is usually sold in 3lbs. then u need to realize that not all of the strawberries will be in usable condition. For this reason buy the strawberries the same day as the event in order to get the freshest looking ones. Also you can only really dip them the same day as the event because they will tend to weap and look ugly the longer they sit.

btw if you've never done this before remember to not wash with water only rub off excess seeds and dirt with a viva.

And if you haven't done it before, practice - it's not as easy as it looks!
