I am baking a batch of cupcakes today for a gathering on Thursday and I do not want them to get hard. Please let me know your thoughts. |

Freeze them! It will freeze the freshness in. Cupcakes don't take long to thaw and they will be just like they were freshly baked! |

I put them on a rectangular cake board, put a sheet of waxed paper across the top of them, then inside a large ziploc bag. |

You could ice them then freeze them, that way you dont' have to mess w/ the wax paper. |
