I plan on making my daugthers 5th birthday cake. I want it to be topsy-turvy, it would be the first time I do a cake like this. I would like any tips or recipes on the fondant icing. I'm not sure how to add the color and which option is best. Any help would be greatly appreciated! icon_smile.gif

I use pre-coloured Satin Ice fondant (it comes in many colours) - or I use icing colours to make Satin Ice into any colour I want.

Hi and Welcome to CC, Creative_chika. icon_smile.gif

Decoding CC acronyms:

EVERYTHING you ever wanted to know about baking, making and decorating your first fondant/buttercream tiered/stacked/layer cake:

The above thread has popular CC cake, buttercream and fondant recipes. Also has cake baking help from Wilton (how much batter is required per pan by size as well as recommended baking temps. and times.)

Since this is also your 1st topsy turvy, I would recommend this CC how to article:

Look forward to seeing pics of your creation!
