I'm looking for a recipe for buttercream that is stable at room temperature for a couple of hours, or more, but not one made with just crisco (wilton's classroom buttercream recipe).
Is there a recipe out there that can sit out for a while? Need to make some cakes/cupcakes for a church function, so I'm unsure how long they'll be sitting out. l
Thanks!
Mirjana

I use a recipe by a CC member names Serious Cakes. She has a video on YouTube with her recipe and how to make it. Turns out delicious and handles room temp quite well. I've had it on cupcakes that have been out for hours, no problem. Search YouTube for Serious Cakes and you'll find her video.
