I'm getting married in a few weeks, and I am making my own cake. I'm looking for some recipes for cake that are sturdy enough to handle being covered in fondant. I'm looking for a white cake, a chocolate, and a carrot or perhaps pumpkin. Something fally. Thanks for any help you can give!

I am looking for a wedding cake recipe that is as dense as the ones used on cake shows (like Ace of Cakes, Amazing Wedding Cakes)... A recipe that allows you to pick up a cake round with your hands and to "saw" and "sculpt" the layers into shapes. I've tried several recipes to no avail.
