Congrats!
Your cake is absolutely awesome!!!!!
I am glad you didn't follow the book, I love it when my students step out of the box and do it differently. |

Your cake is beautiful, Love how you did your birds.
I always tell my students to use their own choice of colors, I feel there is to much pink and yellow on the cake in the book.
You did a wonderful job on your flowers also. |

Your flowers are SO much better than mine were. I, the other student, AND the instructor had totally melted royal icing that would NOT cooperate that night. Oh well. Yours is fantastic. |

I really like it, I agree with everybody else, the colors are very vibrant and beautiful and your color flow work is well done too, if I may suggest something is to use the crumb coat on your cake to be the same color to be used in the basket wave, that way it will distract the eye a little from the separation of the lines (those will get thighter with practice) but in general I congratulate you for a work well done, and wait for course 3, you are going to love it!!! |

Looks great!! I finish course 1 tomorrow and am just "chomping at the bit" to get to 2, 3 and Fondant (yes... I know I could've taken them out of order but you know... I'm anal like that!). The flower look great- especially love the daffodils! |

Is that peanut butter icing I see on that cake? That's what I used on my course 2 cake, too!
Love the colors. Looks great.

yeah I'm taking them in order also...I'm a weirdo too!!
And no Theres it's not peanut butter...lol, I had left over icing and I mixed it all together and it looked like orange sherbert so I added some brown coloring and that's what I got, It's just boring old vanilla.. |
