Oh brother, you won't believe it! I got an inquiry for a wedding on ...... are you ready ......?
11-11-11!!!!!!!!! It's on a Friday.
So I checked ....
10-10-10 is on a Sunday.
09-10-11 is on a Saturday.
I am not responding to this 11-11-11 inquiry. no way we can intelligently discuss pricing 3 freakin' years in advance!!! |

Holy Cow. Some girls will do anything to be sure their hubbies-to-be will remember the date. LOL |

$1,000 non refundable down to reserve the day 3 years in advance.
We will discuss pricing and the cake itself 6 months from the date of the wedding.

February 14 is on a Saturday next year. I'm already fully booked.
Everyone thinks they're just SOOOO original. |

I had a bunch of weddings on 8-8-08 as well. (one of them she had me put 8's all over the cake) I guess people are really into the dates?
As far as getting married valentines day...my brother married his first wife on Valentines day and now his second wife really suffers for it. |

There are a few next year that might be more popular than others. Valentine's day for sure, being on a Saturday.
And these are all Saturdays too:
04-04-09
06-06-09
08-08-09
10-10-09
12-12-09
As for the 3 years out, I agree, let her make a deposit, but tell her you can't quote a price until 6 months before the wedding. Asking for a $1000 non-refundable deposit might scare her off! |

Kind of like that baby who weighed 8lbs 8oz, born at 8:08am on 8-08-08 !
3 years in advance is a bit odd, maybe they are attending college and want to graduate? Or maybe she is just nuts. |

Completely off-topic, but that was my grandfather's birthday...except his was 11-11-1911 . He always loved his birthdate. I was scheduled on 11-11-1970, but came on 11-9 instead.
Now back to your regularly-scheduled discussion . |
