I made this cake today and I am so pleased with it that I can't stop looking at it. I am hoping that the customer loves it as much as I do. What do you think about it? I know the top looks a little plain but that's the way she wanted it. I'd never made a dog before but I think I did a good job on it. First I've attached a picture of the cake and fondant dog then of the real dog. TIA. |

It looks real & it looks like Tia! Actually, the fondant dog has such an expression & the eyes are shiny/wet looking - how did you do that? It is AWESOME! I would keep looking at it too if I had made it! I just made myself look at the rest of the cake - if you had done more it probably would have taken-away from the showpiece! I LOVE your grass, which looks realistic also - and the siding is perfect! I have to ask if this cake was for the dog? (There's a bakery just for dog treats, cakes, cookies, etc... in my town, so I have to ask!).. VERY, VERY, EXTREMELY ADORABLE! Thank you for sharing! =) |

Wow, you did a great job. I'd be staring at that myself if I made it too!
I'm sure your customer is going to love it and your dog has so much expression. Good job. |

Oh I love this! I was asked to make a cake for the humane society fundraiser, I'd love to do something similar:) |

I have to ask if this cake was for the dog? |
Thanks so much to you all for the great compliments!
I added a little teeny white dot to the eyes and small pinkish lines under the eyeball just like the dog has, you know kind of like that little pink tear gland in the inside corner of your eye. No, it's for the dog's owner. But it would be perfect for the dog, too. Thanks. |
