Just finished this cake today and leave it to my brother. He tells me that his "favorite part is the giant banana.". It's a MOON!!!! Please tell me it does NOT look like a giant banana!
My first Red Velvet that didn't come straight out of the box and my first Baby Shower Cake.
This cake is special because it is for a couple whose baby has been diagnosed with a severe heart condition. His first surgery is 2 days after he is born. He faces a rough road and his parents have good days and bad days. I wanted to make a special cake to make them smile.
Julia's favorite cake is Red Velvet so I had to give her that and I chose Cream Cheese Icing.

I must say it has to be a "guy's thing", I mean, who would put a baby to sleep on a banana??? For me it's obvious it's a moon. It's such a cute cake. |

It's definitely obviously a moon! Boys are dumb! lol
I mean if you ever DID need to make a giant banana, you could definitely adapt that lol, but given the context, it's pretty clear what it is. |

ok I hate to be the girl that thinks it does look like a banana, but with so many things in my mind I sometimes do not think clear, regardless you did a great job |

That is such a cute cake. Boys will be boys! My DH does that to me all the time. I hope everything goes well for the baby and the parents. He will definitely be in our prayers |

Yeah, okay, NO! It doesn't look like a giant banana. Having said that....I have a WONDERFUL husband and 3 WONDERFUL sons...and I can TOTALLY hear them say "My favorite part is the giant banana!" LOL
I'm with summernoelle....NO BOYS ALLOWED!!
