Hi all,

I finally got some hi-ratio and am ready to try Sugarshack's great recipe, but I can't find the old threads talking about measurements for the smaller kitchen aid...they aren't in my favorites (doesn't that always happen when I finally need a recipe or a picture?).

Can anyone help me with measurements for a 4.5 quart mixer?

Thanks,
allison

Okay for her recipe I use 4 cups of shortening to 1 cup of powdered sugar. I add 1 TBS of vanilla, 1/2 TBS of almond extract and 1/4 TBS of butter flavoring. Add 3/4 cup of her liquid (water and coffee creamer). Comes out perfect. LOVE IT.
I use this in my 4.5 KA

Do you mean 1 pound of powdered sugar?

Here's the modified recipe that was originally posted by pjaycakes:

4 1/2 c. hi-ratio shortening
4 lbs. powdered sugar
4 tbsp flavoring
2 tsp salt
12 tab coffee creamer mixture

I use 2 tbsp vanilla, 1 tbsp butter/vanilla & 1 tbsp creme bouquet for my flavoring.

This has become my permanent BC recipe! icon_biggrin.gif
