I don't know where to being to say thankyou! I have played around with making RI cookies for family and friends and happened upon this site. I am a newbie to CC and have found everyone to be so kind and considerate in sharing their techniques and thoughts. I even got up the guts to PM MelZ about how she made the icing on her shamrock cookies so perfectly flat (as I saw someone else did first) and she kindly told me, along with encouraging me to try Antonia74's RI recipe. A whole new world opened up for me! With my old recipe, I had to shake the cookie, sing to the cookie and pray that the icing would be flat without falling off the edge. My cookie world has changed and I wanted to say a big "Thanks!" to Antonia74 for posting that recipe. It has also been so nice to see all of the support everyone gives one another and the kind comments about each other's cookies. Thanks to Antonia74's recipe, MelZ's help and reading about what people have tried, I have learned so much and I sincerely appreciate how much a newbie can learn here! |

welcome and i'm glad you've found encouragement! i too have got incouragement and inspiration from the galleries-i feel like my cookie decorating skills have gone leaps and bounds since i joined cc-can't wait to see more  |

Just wanted to say WELCOME to CC Tracy!  I remember the day I found CC, and I thought I had died and gone to cookie heaven! I have learned so much from the wonderful people on this site and I know you will too! Be careful though...you do realize that you have now started a SERIOUS addiction! lolol |

Welcome to CC!! Not only will you get into cookies more, but you'll start playing with different kinds of cakes, cupcakes, frostings, filling, techniques as well!!
As the warning states up in the corner,
"Warning! This website is highly addictive". And they are right!!
Don't be afraid to ask anyone anything!! That's what this is all about is learning and experimenting and figuring it out. I personally have made some of THEE best friends on here.

Before finding CC, I didn't give cookies much thought. They were nice and all, but not all that tempting to spend time on. Then I saw the jaw-dropping gorgeous cookies posted in the CC gallery, and became obsessed with decorating cookies! It was the biggest "Ah hah" moment I've had in years. Welcome! |
