Will this be a 3D carved cake? I have one coming up next month and am also interested. One of my suppliers has a transformer add on and I received an invitation to a transformer party. So I am debating whether this cake will be a carved cake or a flat one with a frosting sheet of the transformer on it.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Flat or 3D either way. Although it would be nice to make a 3D one. Mabe Optimusprimes mask. But a flat one will do. Im not so good at the gel transfer method, it always comes out messy.
are the icing sheets transparent enough to trace a picture? Also, I heard people mention edible rice paper is that any good. What does it tast like? is it noticable under the icing and is it transparent enough to trace an image?
Thanks

There are several transformer cakes on the CC website. Just search for transformers. There are several really cool optimus prime cakes when he is in vehicle mode(a semi-truck). I have done two doing a FBCT that turned out okay. I am new to decorating. My son is obssesed with transformers so he keeps me up on all of them. I will attach a pictureof one I did a few weeks ago. Good luck! I look forward to seeing what you do.

Here's what I did I baked a sheet cake and then printed a pattern on wax paper and then carve the sheet cake. I iced the cake gray, and rolled fondant I traced the pattern on in and layed on the cake I hope it makes sense.

ok so it's not letting me attach pictures right now but it is in my photos.

I carved a baracade cake in car mood, or you can do the old school bumble bee and use the wilton car pan as a start, you can also print out the logo and use as a template and use it to cut outt he shapes on fondant or gumpaste. There tons you can do! My Husband is a Toy Collector, so we had tons of Transformer to model our cake from

I know that this is not as fancy as some of the other cakes but I did one for a friend and I just Googled Transformers in the images section and then traced the logos and did them with color flow. Plus this was last summer and not very many people on here had done a Transformer cake yet.

Here is my Barracade transformer cake, from the move, it's a decepticon in police car form, with lilttle Wickwicky in the front, but I think only true Transformers fans like my family would recognize this. You can't see it on the picture but it say "to punish and enslave" on the car near the rear.

I don't know how to attach a picture here, but you can see my Optimus Prime cake in my pictures. It's one of the coolest cakes I've done so far. Hope you like it.
