I ran across this website--Sugar Coated Love-- and she has the neatest flowers and butterflies on her cupcakes. They are pretty thin and the detail looks like it is painted on afterwards. Would any of you have an idea how to do this? I would love to do them for my granddaughters birthday cupcakes.
Thanks for your help

There are several threads here on CC about chocolate transfers. The Whimsical Bakehouse book has great instructions, too. The ones on the site you mention are basic transfers--no "painted" details after the fact.

Basic instructions: place a design under a piece of acetate (rolls of it at graphic arts stores but clear report covers work nicely, too). Candy melts are easiest to work with. Pipe an outline, if you want it outlined and any fine inner details in the same color (like some of her flowers). Pipe in other colors. The backs will be a bit rough--just the nature of the chocolate. Allow to set up (can be in fridge if you like). Gently peel off of acetate when set. If doing words, letters, etc., make sure that the pattern is backwards so that when peeled off they go forward. If you do these on something other than acetate/vinyl/plastic, they won't be very shiny.

Here are some very simple ones that I did awhile ago:

I believe the person who makes these has an account on flickr.com and her username there is mommawantsonemore. I didn't realize she was selling treats. I thought she just made them for her kiddos. She's terrific at chocolate transfers. here's her photostream:

If you have or get a flickr account (free) you can flickrmail her (kind of like pming someone here). She's super nice.
