I don't know if anyone is interested or not but i came across this great video tutorial on how to make and place the chocolate transfer sheets onto a cake. I thought it may come in useful for someone, i know it was useful for me.

They are very cool and I would love to do one but the sheets are so expensive. I think I'll just stick to the chocolate wrap for now. Thanks for sharing the video. |

They're really not that expensive, do you think? They're maybe $3-4 apiece? When I wrap a cheesecake it costs me about $1.50 and makes them look fantastic. Even when I used them for the wedding cake I only used 2 transfer sheets for the whole thing.
I've always ordered mine from Beryl's. |

Does anyone know of a way to make your own chocolate transfer sheet?
Can you use the edible ink and printer system and instead of printing on edible paper use the clear sheets you can get at Staples- would the ink transfer ?
Any other ways? |

It's not ink on chocolate transfer sheets....it's colored cocoa butter. It's the warmth of the chocolate that makes them "melt" from the acetate to the chocolate. |
