I made my first gumpaste shoe a week or so ago using the template listed here in the article section. It looks adorable but where the toe of the shoe meets the sole is a bit rough. What are the tricks to making this seem look flawless? No matter how I tried it my edges looks like they pinched together.

Also, are there any other templates out there for shoes? I saw one for slingbacks here as well as Converse. Are there any for strappy shoes?

Thanks!

I think I saw it in the gallery. There is a subcategory for templates.

I made the converse shoes for the baby cake I posted yesterday. It's in my photos.

As to smoothing the edges, I used an exacto knife after they had set for a day and trimmed off the rough pieces.

Cool....thanks for the slingback pattern. I love the cake you made with those shoes, even though you never catch me in heels! Shocked
