Yes I know christmas is a long way off, I would like to make bingo balls for an event and now need to know how these ornaments are created. Another cc´er used the mini ball pan, I do not have such a pan and was wondering if there is something else I could use.
Any help would be much appreciated.
thanks

Do you have craft stores nearby you that sell the plastic balls that open into two halves? They're used for potpourri sometimes (those have holes in them, be careful of the holes if those are the ones you get) or to be filled with treats as party favors. I made some ornaments for a Christmas party by making hollow chocolate shells with those. I then decorated them to look like ornaments. If you wanted cake inside them, I've also put "cake ball" inside the molds before closing them up. You could similarly make one half of the ball mold, fill it with cake ball mixture, chill it, and then turn it out onto plates or seal off the flat bottom with more melted chocolate.
