Hi everyone, in case you haven't noticed, every time someone posts to an old thread that was affected by the crash (i.e. it existed before the crash but also had posts since Oct 2007), the new post gets buried amongst the corrupted pages. If someone posts a new message to the thread, you get an email message notification, but then you can't find the new post. Heath recommended that rather than try to continue to post on threads that have partial corrupt data, we should just start new threads.
SO I thought it might be a good time to start the Part II / Continued version of the Your "undernoticed cakes" link here!!! thread.
Here is a link to the original thread http://forum.cakecentral.com/m.....&&start=0, it goes up to page 11 before it is corrupted. If you make a new post to that thread, it gets buried BEFORE all of the corrupted data. Currently the thread is okay from page 1-11 but all posts page 12-22 are gone. So here's what happens: you make a new post, it gets added onto what is right now page 11. The email message notification links you to the page 22 which of course does not exist. (I don't think I'm the only person this is happening to??) So you're left wondering how the heck a new message got on there, and where the heck it is. Rather than give up, I found your new posts by flipping thru the pages 1...11. I'm not gonna do that every time!
So please, post your unnoticed cakes HERE now *but save the old one in case you ever want to look again at those cool cakes that just needed a little lovin'). |

Glad to see you restarted my thread ceshell! I was getting to but had not had a chance yet (by the way you are not the only person who was those problems!).
Ok so here is what I posted on the old thread:
"Hi everyone,
Back in June/July there was a thread started by Merissa asking for anyone who had made a cake that they were really proud of and thought should have received more comments to post a link onto the thread so all of us could not only be encouraged by those who comment on our "undernoticed cakes" but could also encourage others by commenting on their "undernoticed cakes". The thread lasted a long time in fact it was 25 pages long when it ended...I was sooo sad when the thread died. So now hearing other people talking about their "undernoticed cakes" I would like to start the thread again with the same topic name Merissa gave it.
So thanks Merissa for the great idea and I hope this one last just as long as yours did...you go girl! Thumbs Up!"
I look forward to continueing to see all your fabulous undernoticed cakes!

Hello! I wanted to post on the original thread but never got around to it. I love seeing everyone's cakes that I might have missed! I unfortunately posted this picture right before the site went down so it didn't get many views. I was really happy with it especially since my roses didn't look like a mushy pile of buttercream like they normally do. I guess the more I do the better they get but I still need tons of practice. I look forward to seeing all of the new cakes that people post.
I will have to put the actual picture in because for some reason the link to the picture will not attach. I hope it works! |

Such beautiful cakes! This is probably one of my favorites that got bumped, it's not as good as the other ones on here, but I do love it!
Thanks for doing this, I love to share my pictures, well don't we all |

Thanks for restarting this thread. I was disappointed that my last cake didn't seem to take the normal path of newly posted and then to the home page of those newly posted. I originally posted it during the server work, but took it down because I could hardly view it myself. I reposted when I thought everything was back to normal, but it still seemed to get lost in a slow flood. Anyway, here's a link. http://www.cakecentral.com/mod.....id=1199701 It's kind of different, but I liked it. Thanks for this opportunity.
P.S. I tried and tried to add a second attachment (top view), but it just won't pull it up. I hope it doesn't show up five times! |

This is a cake I made in 2006.
I think it was my 3rd or 4th cake ever, so it is not as good as what I do now but I still love my design.
I still think it's funny and not too many people looked at it. |

Can everyone who attached their photos to the thread put the links instead because it takes longer for me to comment on photos when I have to go to each persons gallery. All you have to do is copy and paste the link in the pink box below the photo.
Thanks!
