Don't ya hate it when you spend HOURS on a cake... load it onto CC and then hardly anyone looks at it!!! d'oh! I was so pleased how it turned out... now I'm not so sure!... maybe it just got flicked off the front page too quickly??
If anyone has any spare time... do you mind looking/critiquing???
it's the dorothy dinosaur one.

i'm going to it now! i hate that!!! i spent 3 days on the indian bridal shower cake and boom! it was off the front page in a matter of minutes! oh well... |

Just checked it out (along with all of your other creations), and WOW!! It looks great. You have alot of talent. Don't feel so bad. I work on cakes for a long time and think that they look wonderful, then when I look on here at some of the other talent, I then start to doubt myself. I think you did an outstanding job on Dorothy. My youngest liked your Elmo and Cookie Monster cakes (he'll be 2 in 3 weeks).  |

thanks guys!! ur all soooo nice! I reckon they need to put a loop or something in the script that leaves newest photos up for a minimum of 10 minutes or something... photos disappear too quickly off the front page... don't u think?? or maybe make more preview panes so that there is double the amount showing - maybe smaller thumbnails??

I can SOOOOO relate. I guess there were so many downloads, that I didn't even see my Halloween cake on the homepage. I spent so much time, and then was so pleased...and then, nothing. Oh well, maybe the next time. Your cake is fantastic! |

I hate that too.... but it happens.... I needed some ideas for cupcakes and nobody has responded. 
But your cake came out great! I think you did an awesome job. I also viewed some of your other cakes and you're very talented!! Keep up the good work |

In my humble opinion, I think photos are not placed on the home page by popularity, unless they are listed under All Time Popular Cakes or in the Popular Cakes Added Today section. It is a matter of hit and miss, when you upload, how fast you machine hits the CC server and so on. I have said before, I dont think anyone is sitting at a computer monitor "judging" our posted pictures and selecting which goes where and when... if you upload when 10 other people upload, chances are your picture may not make it or if it does, its bumped off to make room for others. I could be wrong and if I am...by all means correct me. Believe you me...I'd LOVE to have my pictures last more then 15 minutes on the home page...lol |

Jessica, I noticed your Indian cake right when you posted it and I commented on the incredible orchid.
Paolacaracas, I've seen many of your cakes, which are really extraordinary.
You know, I hardly look at the front page...when I sign on I go straight to the "last uploads" page. That way I don't miss anything!

We have all had pictures that didn't get posted for long. I think it is all timing and the day of the week. I too had some that I felt were good and didn't get anywhere. Keep putting them up for us. Some of the ones in all time popular have been on for years and have accumulated more and more favorites. I think yours is great. |
