The New York City Cake Decorators Meetup had a fabulous time with Deborah (who is expecting her first child---CONGRATULATIONS DEBORAH!!)

Deborah was sweet, extremely personable and really shared her experiences from starting out baking cakes in her home to opening her own custom cake business.

Deborah readily answered all our many questions about getting started in the custom cake field and shared inside information and tips on recipes, handling cakes in humid/hot conditions, wholesale and retail suppliers, growing as a business, mistakes newbie owners frequently make, trends in cake flavors and cake design, and more. Deborah was a real inspiration and the consummate professional.
