Dalt just Pm'd me about this so I thought I'd add the recipe I have
Cornflake Candy
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Karo Syrup
1 1/2 cups Peanut Butter
4 cups Cornflakes
Bring sugar & karo to a boil. Remove from heat & add PB, stir well. In a large bowl add cornflakes & pur mixture over them & coat well. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. The kids will love them!
Recipe from my cousin~ |

we have a recipe in Oz for cornflakes called 'honey joys'...
You need:
4 Cups Corn Flakes
1/3 Cup sugar
90g Margarine/Butter
1 Tbs Honey
Method:
Melt margarine, sugar and honey together on a saucepan until mixture bubbles/froths. Stir in the corn flakes until they are completely coated in the mixture. Spoon into paper patty cases. Bake in a slow oven (150 degrees) for 10 minutes - don't overcook. They will be slightly soft, but will become cruchy as you allow to cool.
... not probably what you were looking for, but a very yummy (sweet) treat that kids love.

is funny how things don't get spread around the world but other stuff does... these 'honey joys' have been around since i was a kid, and probably when my mum was a kid... it's nothing new... but they sure are tasty... very sweet though - the honey does that i guess! so if you haven't got a sweet tooth you might find it a bit much.
enjoy! |

This is probably closer to a cookie than a candy and they are very much like RKT (rice krispie treats) except you use cornflakes. I think it would work with just about any cereal.
Corn Flakes Cookies
40 marshmallows
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. cornflakes
Combine butter, marshmallows in double boiler over low heat until marshmallows are melted. Add Vanilla. Pour marshmallow mixture over cornflakes; mix until cornflakes are well coated. Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.
Christmas Wreaths
Prepare as above and add 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. green food coloring when melting marshmallows.
Drop heaping tablespoons onto waxed paper, shape into wreaths.
Decorate with cinnamon candies |

I cannot make these recipes. My kids would probably love them, but would also probably never get the chance to taste them. I would eat them all. |
