Hi Everyone-
I wanted to try something new and I had a coupon for a free coffeemate creamer...so I bought the hazelnut. I also have a chocolate cake mix. How can I incorporate the creamer with the cake? Do I replace the water with all of the creamer? Can I even do this with a mix?

When I put creamer in the box mix I substitute the small fraction of liquid for creamer. So, if the box calls for 1 1/3 cups of water, I use 1/3 c. creamer and 1 c. water. I also add an extra egg to the mix, double the oil and add a box of instant (non sugar-free) pudding in a complementary flavor. I've read on here that some people have had issues with cakes sinking in the middle if they use too much creamer. I made cupcakes the other day and used a mixture of creamer (more than normal), milk and water and didn't notice any difference.

I would like to know.. If your not making a cake for an occasion. Try making it with half water and half creamer.. And let us know what you think.. That way you'll know next time use the same or take or add more.. Good Luck!

If you bought the liquid Coffeemate, you can use it to replace about half the water called for in the cake mix. More than that and you risk the cake sinking in the middle as it bakes. Not sure about the powder version, haven't tried that yet.....

i would also like to know also how the mix the creamer in the mix, i tried it last week and i used the creamer instead of the water and the cake was very heavy more like it was not done after the cooking time, so i left it in the over a little longer, it was done but still not the best
