I know I've seen this on here before, and I cannot seem to find it again. How do you all shrink your photos when you're trying to upload them? It's saying my file is too large. Embarassed

I'd like to know too. I currently use MS Paint - Dh insisted we needed to have Vista as an operating system, and all my old files are gone!! Sad

There's got to be a better way than Paint! Smile

I know there are lots of sites out there, but I always email the picture to myself as an attachment. I use Microsoft Outlook and it gives me the option to make my picture files smaller to email. They are the perfect size to post. Then I just delete the email.

I would look to see if your email will let you reduce the size of your attachement. This way you don't have to use a web site and you can keep your computer more secure.

I resize all of my pictures using Adobe Photoshop CS.

However a lot of people use the following website too. I have for a few pictures and it is quick, easy, and the directions walk you right through it.

The easiest way is to double click on your photo it will open up in one of the Microsoft photo programs, paint, photo editor etc. Just click on image on the top bar, go down to resize on the drop down menu and click on it. You will get a dialogue box adjust the photo size from 100% to 75% and save it under a new file name. Try and Upload that. If it is still too large reduce it again by 5-10% until it fits. If you don't feel like playing around to see if a file is the right size you can, before you attempt to upload you can right click on the file icon in the folder and go to properties to see the file size and know if it will upload.
