I HAVE MADE SEVERAL GUMPASTE FLOWERS FOR A CAKE I HAVE ORDERED AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF YOU CAN SPRAY THESE WITH A CLEAR SHINNY LAQUER, WILL IT HURT THE GUMPASTE, I HAVE LUSTER DUST AND VODKA, BUT IT WOULD TAKE FOREVER TO DO EACH FLOWER, THOUGHT SPRAYING WOULD BE FASTER, THANKS FOR THE INFO.

you mean like a confectionary glaze? Just don't get too close up when spraying and let it dry before touching the surface.

Have you considered dry dusting?

If you type in all Caps it sounds like you are shouting.

You can mix luster dust and alcohol to use in your airbrush to spray the flowers. You need to add enough alcohol to the dust to keep it from clogging your brush, but not so thin that it is watery. It tends to separate so you will need to stir it from time to time if you are doing a large amount of flowers. You don't need lacquer to preserve the gumpaste flowers, they will keep indefinitely if stored away from humidty, sunlight and dust. If you want more shine you can steam the flowers after they have been dusted. Just hold upsidedown by the wire stem over a pan of boiling water. Stick the wire into styrofoam to dry, don't touch the dusted area till dry or it will remove the dust and leave white marks.
