We are hosting a 50th wedding anniversary party for some relatives that will be visiting from Ireland. Is the Irish monogram the same as the US - ie: womans first initial, last name initial, mans first initial.
So if the couple is Susan and Bob Jones it would be SJB?
Thanks! |

I have no idea, but if they look puzzled, maybe you can explain that's the custom for monograms here.

I'm sorry I can't help with this one either, but can't wait to see your finished product. I love anything celtic. If you don't find out about the monograms, maybe you could do their family crest. there are a lot of websites with those on them.
good luck! |

To my knowledge, which is a bit limited, it is the same....maybe repost the question with a call-out to the European posters. |

Azterp ...... as a 36 year old Irish woman ..... I can safely say that I have never come across a joint monogram at any celebration or 'do' back home!!!!!! I can also say with almost 100% certainty, that your relatives will be DELIGHTED with any monogramed (or, in fact, any) cake you make for them, it's bred into us from an early age!!! |
