Just bought some hi-ratio shortening, but I don't like the taste using it cup-for-cup as a Crisco replacement.
Anyone have any recipes specifically for hi-ratio shortening, or any successful adaptations.
With the upcoming hot weather, I need a frosting that will be more heat stable - son's having a garden wedding in August.
Thanks so much for your help!

This is a recipe I use...
2 cups shortening (I use high ratio)
1 cup butter
2 lbs powdered sugar
2 tsp clear vanilla (I use butter-vanilla)
Hot water added one tsp. at a time until you get the consistency you want.
It's very creamy and not overly sweet...
